2,500 Dance to Rudy Vallée's Rhythm There may have been only two square feet of space for each couple to dance at the Junior Prom last night, but this did not deter the 2,500 who jammed Woolsey Hall from having all the fun they possibly could. Predictions that the event would be one of the most successful in recent years were completely borne out by the atmosphere of gaiety which, far from waning, actually increased as the evening wore on. . . A few couples left for fraternity dances around 1, but the floor was still crowded when Rudy Vallée presented his evening show. High spots of the entertainment were the imitations of a subway and Model ‘T’ Ford by Steve Waring, 1924. Petite, vivacious swing girl, Judy Starr,
was almost equally popular.  OCD 27 Feb 1937
